A few months of silence....or rather alcohol-fuelled rampages/semi-comatose moments
Weel noo finally moved from shitland to the capital of this fair land and loving every minute of it. That said its not all that different from being at home 'cause there are at least 3 Shetlanders in every lecture i have and its nearly impossible to go to a union without bumping into them.
I've met (and subsiquently forgotten the names of) hundreds of people from all over(UK, US, Switzerland, Germany, Greece to name but a few) Living alone for the first time and i'm not missing my family at all(is that bad?) nor am i missing any of my so-called "friends" from high school. But I'm drinking at least a case of beer to myself every week(not alot you might think but normally drink the same again when i'm out) and developing a nice beer gut.
Not done anything too embarrassing yet, i threw up in, fell asleep in and was kicked out of a vodka bar one night but my good buddy David White got himself arrested the same night so that got me off the hook.
Rhydian had a run-in with a ned last week and subsiquently floored him and gave him a few kicks in the ribs for good measure.
Edinburgh seems really peaceful even on nights out..maybe thats 'cause i'm nearly 6' 1" but who knows.
Advice for the 5th year kiddies, Advanced Highers make first year a piece of piss if a bit tedious at times (first thing we did in maths was learn how to factorise :| )
Also those who've had a year out tend to have a decent story for when you first meet them. and hope you dont share a flat with a boy racer nob-end with a pug 106 :/
