Today is indeed a sad day, with the death of my namesake and much loved author Hunter S. Thompson.
In other news, i've become a weekend alcoholic, fine through the week but come friday i need a beer in my hand by 4pm otherwise i get twitchy. didnt go to the Tron this week so i had to go to the threshers at the bottom of the road instead, much beer i did quaff and played much FF7, which is probably one of the best RPG games ever. spent the rest of the weekend avoiding studying for my mid-semester exam(tomorrow).
Currently listening to Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes and The Fall - 50,000 Fall fans can't be wrong, over and over again they're two most kick-arse albums go and buy!
Some random thoughts i did have whilst condensing my chemistry notes(i fucking hate reaction mechanisms now) like this one: How cool would it be to be able to see a bit into the IR spectrum as well as what we do now, think about it you'd be able to SEE how hot things were before burning the fuck out of your hands, yes i'm a clumsy bugger who always manages to cut himself when using anything sharp(thanks for that Dad) and frequently burn myself on stuff, and stub toes, and fingers....actually its quite a surprise that i'm still alive let alone never broken a bone(touch wood)
Life at Uni rocks, you get to live on your own timetable(ie. go to bed at 3 get up at 3 [well over the weekends anyway] ) still no luck with the females of Edinburgh but hey whats new.
